Do Right is an award winning, independent, Toronto-based record label and productions company. Founded in 2002 by renowned DJ and music aficionado, John Kong, the label’s vision is to showcase Canada’s best talent in all genres. While many independent labels concentrate on exhibiting a specific style of music, Do Right aims to represent the whole spectrum of talent including Jazz, Funk, Afro-beat, Hip Hop, Soul, House and Left-field Electronic artists on their roster. As well as promoting these various musical talents, Do Right aims to bridge the gap among genres through numerous cross over projects and collaborations, creating an avenue to bring these diverse sounds together for the international community and opening up new audiences for artists and moving the label-artist relationship beyond the limitations of the traditional music industry.
